1 What is Customer DB
Customer DB is the list of every company you sell to. A customer must be saved here before you can create a sales order or invoice for it.
The steps at a glance
A new customer goes through these steps, in this order. Each step has its own section in this guide.
- Open Customer DB from the left menu.
- Search to make sure the customer is not already there.
- Click ADD CUSTOMER and fill in Company Name, Country and Currency.
- Click SAVE. The customer starts as a Lead and you become its owner.
- Add the rest of the profile: Addresses, Contacts, Bank details and Regulatory documents. Each part has its own SAVE button.
- Check the STATUS and OWNER on the customer's side panel.
- Change the status as the customer moves forward, for example from Lead to Onboarding - In Progress.
- Go to Sales to create an order, invoice or credit memo.
