2. Before you start

You can only do what your administrator has allowed. If a button is missing or a page says AccessDenied, ask your administrator to check your access.

What each permission lets you do

Your administrator sets these under Roles & Access → Role Master → PURCHASE → Supplier DB. The screen describes them as controlling whether you can create, view, update or delete supplier records.

PermissionWhat it lets you do
IsViewOpen the supplier list and the side panel.
IsCreateAdd a supplier and save addresses, contacts, bank details and documents.
IsUpdateOpen the edit page and save changes.
IsDeleteRemove an address, contact, bank detail or document. There is no button to delete a whole supplier.
Choose Owner When AddingYes: when you add a supplier you pick its Account Owner, either yourself or someone in your team. No: you become the owner. It is set to No by default and only applies when a supplier is added.

Tip: After your administrator changes your permissions, sign out and sign in again so the change takes effect.

Keep these details ready

  • The registered Company Name.
  • The Country and the Currency you pay the supplier in. Only these three are required.
  • If you have them: EmailID, Website, Phone Number, EORI No, EU VAT No and GPHC No.
  • For a warehouse address: the WDA No. (licence number).
  • Contact people and the supplier's bank details, if you have them.

Set up by your administrator

The lists for Country, Currency, Business Area and Product Supplied must already be set up. If one of these lists is empty, ask your administrator.
